Tattoos & Piercings for New Haven

New Haven is one of our closest neighbors — a twelve-minute run down Gratiot and you're at the door. It's a village that's grown fast in the last twenty years without losing the feel of the place, and we see a good mix from there: first tattoos, first piercings, and plenty of long-term clients who've been coming since before the subdivisions went in.

What New Haven comes to us for

Because it's so close, New Haven clients tend to use us the way you'd use any good neighborhood business — dropping in with a question, coming back for a downsize appointment without making a whole afternoon of it, sending a friend over the same week. That short-trip convenience genuinely matters for piercings, where the free downsize fitting a few weeks in is the difference between a piercing that heals well and one that doesn't.

Popular in New Haven

Where most people start.

Custom Tattoo Design

Original artwork drawn for your body and nobody else's — from a first small piece to a full bodysuit.

Black & Grey Tattoos

Smooth greywash, honest blacks, and the kind of contrast that still reads twenty years from now.

Photorealism Tattoos

Skin texture, reflected light and real depth — realism that survives the jump from photo to flesh.

Ear Lobe Piercings

Single, double or stacked lobes done with a needle and implant-grade jewelry — never a piercing gun.

Cartilage Piercings

Helix, forward helix, flat, rook and snug — placed to your anatomy, not to a diagram.

Nostril Piercings

Placed to your nose's own crease and curve — studs, hoops and high nostrils.

New Haven questions

Asked by people in your area.

What is a piercing downsize and do I really need one?

Initial jewelry is fitted long to allow for swelling. Once the swelling settles — two weeks for oral, six to ten for cartilage — a shorter post needs to go in, or the extra length causes snagging, angling and irritation bumps. It's free here, it takes five minutes, and it's the most commonly skipped step in the whole process.

Can I stop in just to ask a question?

Any time we're open, no appointment and no charge. Healing questions, jewelry checks, a bump you're worried about, whether an idea will work at a certain size — we'd genuinely rather you asked than guessed off the internet.
